Sun-Kissed Summer

We are well into the summer season and many women are still struggling to put together the perfect "sun-kissed" look. Perhaps you use a self-tanning lotion, an all-over bronzing powder or (gasp!) you laid out under the sun with the sand between your toes (hopefully with plenty of sunscreen!).  What about your face? Are you one to wear the hat and keep your face out of the sun or do you prefer warmth on your face to match the body? Regardless of the answer, you can use a bronzer, highlighter and the perfect coral blush to create the perfect look all season.

Bronzer creates contour and dimension to the face while adding that "got a little sun" look.  Highly underrated in my opinion. Don't see your cheekbones? Bronzer will create or enhance those fabulous cheekbones. Highlighting powder or liquid creates light where you want to draw attention, specifically to the undereye and upper cheekbones/temples and brow bone. Using both creates a gorgeous look...top the cheeks with a beautiful pinky coral blush and no doubt you will have people saying, "You look so good! What did you do?!"
When many think of the perfect "beachy" look, we think of Jennifer Aniston with her sandy blonde hair, warm skin and bright cheeks. Natural eyes and lips make her look beautiful and low-key. Her look always works, day or night.

Perhaps the most well-known "Queen of Contour" is Kim Kardashian. Her intensely contoured and highlighted face are a must for her, not only for special evenings out but most public appearances.

Whether you go for visible color on cheeks and lips like Maria Menounos here:

Or barely there cheeks and "your lips but better" color like Monica Bellucci, summer means effortless beauty and carefree days.

I can pretty much promise you that none of these women woke up looking awake, glowy, bright and wonderful.  Fantastic products allow us to create these looks no matter the skin color, hair color or eye color. There is a perfect summer look just for you.

Welcome!

You are on this page because you're curious about the woman behind the company, right? Well, here it goes...I am a mother of two, a daughter, a friend (and/or cousin!) to many. As a little girl I observed as my mother sat at her vanity, getting ready for the day. Saturdays were shopping days. We'd dawdle over breakfast, get ready and head to the mall.  Woodward & Lothrop was our main stop. Anyone remember "Woodies"?? ;-)  One of my aunts worked for the Borghese counter at the time so we'd stop and say hello before heading to the "Hot Shop" for lunch. (Typical child, always had to be fed before my mom could shop!)

Over the years I learned many tricks and tips from my mother. She taught me to wax before I ever stepped foot in a skin care school. I was bleaching, tweezing and primping, always natural and age-appropriate of course. I always enjoyed everything related to beauty but it wasn't until high school when I started working as a receptionist in a day spa that I learned the professional aspect of the beauty industry.  I've worked with hairstylists, nail technicians, managers, owners, estheticians and massage therapists for many years. I enjoyed every moment of being in the salon environment but I remember dreaming of being "upstairs" in the quiet and serenity of the spa rooms. I was to make that dream come true a few years later.

In my early 20s I enrolled in the renowned scientific skin care school in the area. I became licensed in waxing, body wraps and scrub treatments, facials and skin analysis, microdermabrasion, and makeup artistry.  After graduation I became the sole skin care specialist and makeup artist where I worked.  A few years and a couple of children later, the scope of my passion changed.  While I don't perform treatments very often anymore, I am enjoying the benefits of my training and bringing amazing products and knowledge to my clients.
